99 LGT Sunroof Won't Close

My sunroof opens just fine, but won't close under it's own power. In order to close the sunroof I have to advance the motor forward, then manually pull the sunroof forwards.

 

Even then, it won't push up, to the fully closed position. I've removed the headliner, but I can't seem to see anything wrong. Does anybody have any idea where to look? I'd like to have a clue before taking it all down....I live in Florida, where it rains without notice.

 

I did notice that along the track, near each corner there is a little piece with a sprung pin. The one on the drivers side is broken, however, I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the problem.
