replacement car recommendations

i have a 93 legacy 2.2 at awd. my wife is a subaru fan. but she also said a ext cab ford ranger would be good for her too. well that gas mileage isnt as good. and they are as reliable as subaru.

 

 

so what subaru can i buy. that i can either swap in my 93 engine or use parts from the 93 on what other car?

 

i have always loved the bajas. and i found one for sale at a dealer. too bad its yellow over silver. but color isnt a bad thing.

 

what should i be looking for. transmission type doesnt matter. awd would be preferred. i really dont want a car that has had lots of common break downs in the past. i would prefer that the car isnt a one of a kind engine to swap in. i do not want a 6 cyl. i woul dalso prefer that it uses the same size tires i have now. 185/75/14 i think is the size.

 

several years ago we were going to buy a brand new outback . and we should have i guess. i just couldnt get over the cost and payments they offered. but we ended up in about the same boat with the mini van we bought and then it went to heck. then we bought this subaru. it came all the way from colorado.

 

well what is the best replacement used subaru to buy? what year. what model? color doesnt matter. i'm going to inquire about that baja anyway. and i saw a 90-94 legacy i already emailed about.
