General chaos Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 93 legacy awd 2.2 auto 4dr sedan. my drivers side tie rod end is bad. yes the boots are ripped. when are they not on a used car. anyway can anyone give me the steps to replace the drivers side inner tie rod end. basically how does it come off of the steering rack. is it threaded does it pop out? the car just left. so i cant look at anything until 5 pm today. but it is bad for sure. you can see it move inside of the socket. General chaos Posted June 9, 2011 Author Share Posted June 9, 2011 well duh. i went to you tube and watched a couple of videos i guess it just unscrews from the rack. thats all i needed to know. unless there is something specific about the subaru i should know.
