I just picked up an 02 2.5rs with a hole in the block, Its a 2.5 sohc ej25. will any other year block work for a replacement? i have a 98 ej25 out of a Forester laying around, will the 02's heads/intake bolt up?

yes, make sure you use the thicker subaru headgasket - part number ends in 610.

well yes. as for the really new stuff like 2005 plus i'm not sure.
