Gasket sets 1.8L

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any suggestions about gasket

manufacturers?

I had talked to this one guy a ways back...

(subie shop veteran). He said, only use subie

OEM gaskets.......... Does anyone out there

agree/disagree know of a better manufacturer?

The vehicle is 91 subie loyale 1.8L

thanks

In a perfect world, I'd go out and harvest my $$$ and buy only OEM, but since I drive an 11 year old Subie (which I love dearly), I've found that Felpro work just fine. My car leaks with Subie gaskets now, so the others can't be worse.

napa victor series gaskets, the package lists parts as made in japan. a set will run about 100-200 bucks depending on if you are doing the heads or not. you can get the seals fairly cheap for the cam and crank seals, oil pump seal is not too much

the napa gaskets are of better quality than the felpro, but felpro is less costly, and they work just as fine
