Car is a 1990 Loyale turbo station wagon with auto trans and full time 4wd.

 

There is a large diameter hose that comes out of the top of the passenger side valve cover and it just hangs down in the bottom of the fender well near the firewall. By the looks of the end, it was connected to something at one time.

 

Can anyone tell me what this hose is, and if it should be connected to anything?

Mystery solved. For whatever reason, the PO just put a hose on the breather tube and ran it down inside the fender well.
