What Rockford cv part do I need to make the EJ rear diff work (89 gl)

I can't seem to find a part number or anything on the boards and a call to rockford got me nowhere...

What parts are you looking for? The EJ diff is the same as the EA one except for the stubs coming out of the diff, you can fix this by just swaping the carriers.

there are 2 different sizes of shafts that came on the GL's. i beleave they are 7/8" and 1" the smaller of the two will fit right into the inner cup of Legacy shafts. you just have to check spline count.

 

but i do have an extra set of the races that i used when i mated my JDM WRX LSD R160 to a set of XT6 shafts.

 

pull your axles apart and count the splines and i can tell you if they will work or not...
