code 75 (line pressure solenoid)

Featured Replies

guys,

i need some help since i am confused of the issue.

My moms car has 63.000km only, 2001 , first owner, Impreza wagon awd Ej18 non Turbo.

-Power light flashes, so we had it scanned, came out code 75 (line pressure solenoid either the sensor or circuit issue etc)

-Easily i found online the sensor part # and ordered it.

-Changed it, flushed tranny fluid with new one, chek all sensors inside oilpan, changed line press solenoid, same issue, light flashes still !

-A subaru mechanic was contacted, he checked the car for me, and he found a circuit/broken wire/dirty plug under car around tranny , he fixed it, light WAS out, for 1 day.

Now i have to bring car back to him, which will happen either tommorow or so.

My Question : What would be the issue or sugestion to chek now.

Rishi

It sounds like the issue may be in the wiring itself, and may be related to worn/scraped insulation on the wire for that particular sensor. This is causing the overall circuit resistance to be outside of normal parameters and throw a code.

So I'd try and focus on the wiring itself, and narrow down where the problem is. Try moving it around and see if that changes the resistance when using a multi-meter.
