225/60R17s on a 1999 Outback

I am looking to do some King springs and KYBs in the future, but need tires now. I did a little searching, but 17s are too common on here in the off-road area... (I do know why... but its the rims I have already)

I am trying to decide on 215/60R17s or 225/60R17s... I would like to go with the larger size, planning on going with Yoko ATs which are rated at 27.1" and 27.6" respectively. The rims are a 17x7.5" with 48mm offset.

Just wondering if anyone has tried 27.6ish" tires on an Outback with no lift? Did it rub?

Thanks

yeah. Well- I know there are conversions that give an overall dimension of the tire..Here is good place to start

I'm not really sure if a 17 has been done here, and I don't know about the overall dimensions of the wheel.

I do know that the 215/70 or 75/15 is a pretty common tire, and both will fit with some trimming and some rubbing.

I'd imagine the 17s will create the same problems.
