When I got this car it didn't have the ac belt on. We bought one and put it on the the ac blew out very cold. But the next time I tried the ac it only blew out heat. Is this a common problem? Should I start with the temp control switches or does this sound like a blend door problem?

 

This is a 94 Impreza L 1.8

Had same problem in reverse this year with a imprexa I bought. Pull the vents/switches and see if the cable came loose. Those plastic switches will break sometimes. They can be replaced or I adjust it in this car and my toyota truck manually with needle nose pliers.

Thanks so much. The pully cable did come loose. Its blowing out cold now!
