help fuel pump legacy 1.8 92 carburator

Recommended Posts

hello

sorry for my English.

I have a subaru gl 1.8 carburator

I have a problem with the fuel pump.

I put one that is not the original, a pressure regulator, and leave it ok.

Now it turns out that day, I burn sensor revolution.

pump seems to need more energy and burn it.

how I can fix this?

I put a bomb out?

solution is put another sensor revolution?

another brand and it will not burn?

I recommend?

thanks

depending on what type of pump you put on you may need a a fuel pressure regulator that returns fuel to the tank to control fuel pressure.

some positive displacement pump can not be deadheaded with a fuel pressure regulator that just restricts fuel flow to control pressure.

a solenoid type fuel pump (the type that makes a tick tick tick noise when its pumping) can be used without a pressure regulator if you chose one that pumps to the right pressure for your car.

Welcome....lol its nice to see another carburated EJ on the board

Thank you very much, you have a carburetor?

sorry for my english

I'll try to explain better.

pump with regulator and I have everything installed and working.

but the subaru carburetor used to control the fuel pump, rpm sensor. a black box below the steering wheel.

this box is burned when using other fuel pump than the original, I was told that subaru Uruguay is the power consumption of the pump.

you know anything about this?

I can not put a relay to the pump and not use the sensor?

Tell me about your subaru?

very very thanks

from Uruguay

Rafael
