March 6, 201214 yr I need to know where to get an adapter plate. I live in washington state. I would like to know what else is needed to put this trans with this engine.
March 6, 201214 yr you also need a re-drilled EA82 flywheel or flexplate. SJR lifts does both flywheels and adapter plates, there are a few others that do them too. Although you can do the flywheel yourself fairly easily. Ben
March 7, 201214 yr Author will the ea82 flywheel have an effect on the starter positioning and will the adapter plate move the trans back enough to affect the driveline. Edited March 7, 201214 yr by bulldog

March 7, 201214 yr will the ea82 fly wheel have an effect on the starter positioning and will the adapter plate move the trans back enough to affect the driveline. No issues with starter or trans positioning. The EJ bellhousing is 1/2" shorter than the EA82, so when you add the adapter thickness, you end up back at the OE EA82 dimensions.
