Does anyone know if these headers will work on a 2nd-gen L-series (EA-81)?

My '86 hatchback (older 80-84 body style) is getting an EJ and I need exhaust...

That's something that would be cool to know. I don't know of anyone attempting to instal on an ej swap

These headers are sweet...quality is great..fitted in place perfectly...and sounds mean  Check out my video ..fast forward to 40 sec ish

Has anyone installed this on a vehicle with an automatic transmission? I've heard of other UEL headers getting too close to the transmission cooler lines.

Any pictures of the header installed , and how close it gets to the radiator?

Thanks!

Haha her sigh = priceless

My setup is pretty stock....EJ22 w/ DIY Short Ram Intake, UEL Headers, and Tanabe Cat-back.

I need to shoot a better video, seriously sounds way more throaty/ boxer rumble in person

Can these be ran as is? Or do they need to be coated and or wrapped?

They work fine as is...If you had a built engine maybe you would want to wrap them for performance but lets face it these are for n/a ej22's haha

OK, so a bit off topic but if I run this with no cat am I going to get a cel? Or just running no catperiod. Just couldn't find the answer anywhere else. If cel is an issue with no cat, is there a workaround?

Yes you will get a P0420 code for cat efficiency.

You can sometimes get around that by using a spark plug anti-fouler on the rear O2 sensor.
