April 20, 201213 yr Its the vehicle more than the engine that makes a difference. Are you putting an ea81 engine in a car that had an ea82 originally?
April 21, 201213 yr use the ea82 lower hose and the ea81 upper hose. the angle will be weird between the radiator and the ea81 water pump. If you can find a flex hose that would be best. Get a longer one so you can get a 360 deg loop to make the connection without a kink. take the old hose in to size up. you can make it fit. I have made them fit. dont forget to ground the radiator to the body and swap thermoswitches if you have an electric fan.
