May 3, 201213 yr i have a 1993 loyale that ive been working on for little over a month and a half . the other day i replaced the fuel pump because it was leaking pretty bad but now the car will only run when you pour gas down the throttle body . im kinda thinking the fuel pressure regulator went out as its getting pressured gas up to the regulator
May 3, 201213 yr 1--Did it start before you replaced the pump? 2--Is the wire connector thingie coming off the fuel injector plugged into its mate in the wiring harness with a good, clean connection? (Not gummed up) If it's not either of those simple things, and it starts with starter fluid, then we'll cross them off and move on to more involved stuff.
May 3, 201213 yr Author yes it ran good but the pump was leaking really bad i will check the wiring agin but it seem to be hooked up right but it dosnt seem to be getting fuel now but is getting fuel up to the regulator
May 3, 201213 yr Are you working on a SPFI or MPFI engine? You can pull the line from the output of the fuel filter where it connects to the intake, put the end of it into a container and hit the key. If the pump is working properly you should have flow from it while the pump operates. If there is no flow then you know you have an issue with your pump. If you have flow then id check the fuel pressure. Edited May 3, 201213 yr by KrakkenSkullz Grammar
