Ok, with all the mechanical gurus on this board, I feel a little silly asking this, but is it possible to swap out the center console in a 99 Legacy with a later model console. It sounds stupid, but I just installed an aftermarket stereo and the pull out cup holders are really bad. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I am also having this SAME problem.

I have a manual transmission though so I'd need a solution where I wouldn't spill my drink with every shift.
