Flywheel spec '99 Forester

Anyone know the thickness spec for a '99 Forester flywheel? I want to see if I can have mine ground rather than buy another if I can help it.

Sometimes it says on them. A machinist should be able to look it up though. They will also be able to look up the amount of step the flywheel should have. Be sure to give them year and model info.

Yeah, the guy at the shop said he'd look it up. I doubt he had to take more that .05 off so I'm sure it will be fine.

 

I got it back today and after I bolt it up to the car tomorrow I'll set up my .0005 indicator and see if I got my flat within +/- .001 that Subaru (unrealistically?) calls for
