AdventureSubaru
I've sprung a light oil leak out the top of the head where the oil fill tube attaches to the engine. Stopped at autozone and they refined the search enough to know that there is a grommet in there that must have finally worn out after 266k but they do not carry the part. Been searching online for the part through Subaru but have come up dry. Anyone know the part number for it? Would think this would be for any EJ but mine is a 97 EJ22 single port. Slowly reducing oil consumption on this thing. One of the never ending battles of Subarus... that and RUST.
Fairtax4me
It's just an o-ring. Get it from a dealer for a few bucks, or take the fill tube off and pop the old o ring out to fit up a new one.
AdventureSubaru
Good to know. I love it when it's even simpler than expected.
