I have a 1990 legacy and I just pulled the engine to change the clutch and the bell housing side of the transmission is leaking quite a bit of gear oil. It does not seem to be from the imput shaft seal either. Could it be from the mating seam running down the center of the trans? Where else could it be leaking- there isn't much else in the belhousing... I do not have the money right now to replace a trans... Is there a stop leak type of additive that could help? I need my car back on the road by Monday and didn't antisipate this problem!!!!
