Hello I bought my first subaru today as well as my first manual trans car. I got a 2004 imprezza ts 165 km on it and having loads of fun trying to learn stick! But now I noticed this at night there isnt any sort of light around the spedo or tachnomiter or anything around there! Is the a common problen? ANd what can I do to fix it?

No, what you described doesn't sound normal.  I would first suggest checking the fuses to make sure they are all good.

All right will do also I am unable to get my fog lights to work and may be as to there is no switch to it but I will look over the switch

Update. Messed around with the fuses sone more and replaced a few with nothing.

Do any of the other lights in the dash work? Climate control lights? Etc? Does it have an aftermarket radio/cd head unit?

 

If so the bulbs in the cluster may just be burned out. If not, first find the dimmer. Should either be on the headlight stalk or a knob under the cluster on the left side. Make sure its turned up.
