ehanes7612
My distributor wont advance when ignition is turned on..when i manually turn the crankshaft counter clockwise (wrong way) , distributor turns, but when I manually turn it the right way (clockwise ) distributor doesn't turn. Took distributor out and it seems fine..turns just fine..so I figure it's something to do with the camshaft..before I remove the valve cover..does anyone know what could be broken? ford'ssubaru's
Your gear has to be broken on the rocker cover. In my humble opinion.
MilesFox
inspect fro broken tming belt, or teeth missing on the timing belt. The belt drives the cam, which drives the distributor. I'll be there are teeth missing on the belt near the crank snout.
