Hello all, New here.  Recently bought my first Brat.  its a 1980, but it didn't come with any of the original manuals.  I ordered one the other day, but in the mean time i was hopeing someone might be able to tell me how much oil the brat takes? and if theres a recomended oil type or weight to use?

Also this is my first project car, and its really going to be quite the learning experience for me, so go easy.   But i'm quite excited to start playing with my new toy!

They should hold 3.8 quarts, but I'm not entirely sure which weight to use. I'm assuming 30 weight dino oil but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in.

10w 30 oil, the capacity is a spot over 4 qts if you account for the volume of the oil filter. Filter is WIX 51361, or napa 1361 and 21361.
