Fuse blowing and aftermarket parts

Featured Replies

Okay so recently i had to get my fuel pump replaced in my 97 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport because it shorted which blew a 40 amp fuse under the hood. So 2 weeks after i got the fuel pump replaced it blew the fuse again. I changed the fuse and its running great again. Any ideas what could have blown the fuse. My first thought was maybe it was a faulty fuse but would it last that long if it was faulty?

Another question is where can i find after market parts for this car? Such as an aftermarket intake manifold, stuff like that.

That fuse feeds other circuits, so it may not be a problem wih the pump causing the trouble.

I don't have a service manual for a 97 Impreza so I can't be specific to which other components that fuse powers.

Hopefully someone else here does.

There is a link floating around here somewhere with downloadable service manuals for almost every Subaru. See if you can find it or the wiring diagram specific for your car.
