2008 Liberty: Aux input / speaker question

Featured Replies

Hey,

ok so i bought a 2008 liberty a few months back and been loving it,

got a few questions though that i need a bit of help with

it has the GPS touch screen as the head unit and it has an option for AUX input but i cannot seem to work out where the 3.5mm jack would go. i know its an additional extra for this model (to have it in the center consol) but in the center consol it has this http://i.imgur.com/WxcpsRc.jpg (would post a picture but it was messing about)

i checked the manual and there is a picture of what the aux input should look like: http://asset3.cbsistatic.com/cnwk.1d/sc/32418992-2-440-ss1.gif

What do i have and how do i use the aux input option?! the cables shown in my picture i have tried every combination with my galaxy s4 and none will play sound. any ideas?

Ohhh, and thinking of replacing the speakers, been all through the manual and cant seem to find what speaker size they are - it only has the speakers in the door panels, and the mesh covering the speakers look like they are only big enough to be 6'' speakers - thatd be correct?

thanks

Looks like instead of the single 3.5mm jack you got two RCAs (white+blue... not red? weird...) plus one for video (yellow). If so, there should be a way to set the stereo's input to "Video" (as opposed to "Aux").

Note, however, that the OEM stereos with video input disable it when in gear or above a certain speed. There's a way to disable it :)

hey, i changed the input to video and nothing played - i turned the volume all the way up and all i got was a static noise (on both the AUX input setting and the video one) that means the aux would atleast be plugged in to the head unit if static is coming through the speakers yes?

any other ideas anyone?
