88 DL Looking for Motor or rebuild in San D

Featured Replies

Hello I'm new,

I have a little red Subi on 13s with a full roof rack and bumper skid plate meant to take a beating in the anza borrego desert!

that needs a new engine or a rebuild kit i would prefer to get the crate motor and slap it in but nippon doesnt sell the EA82 anymore...

I blew a head gasket but while its down i figured i'd get everything dialed in so i wont have any more related problems in the near future.

Any help is welcomed and appreciated

Im looking for a motor.

Kaname91, if you do a little research, I might have an engine for you in Escondido where I live.  I have promised it to a member in Oregon and he and I are deciding if he wants to have it shipped up there. If he declines, then you might want it.  But you need to ask some people on here if it will work for your model Subaru.  It is an EA82 MPFI 1985 engine that came from a GL-10 front wheel drive wagon parts car.  It is the complete engine including alteranator, starter, intake, distributor, even plugs and wires.  Look back at some of my recent posts and reponses from other USMB members for specifics about it.  Most of them know much more than I do about what can be used for your 88 DL. Oh yeah post some pictures (low resolution lens on Iphone) too when you get a chance.  Best wishes and welcome to the USMB!!! Aaron
