Cold air intake problems

I put a Cosmo Racing cold air intake on my 08 Subaru Impreza. When I started it the check engine and cruise light started flashing. It's missing and sounds horrible. I put everything back original and I'm still having the same problem. Can anyone give me some advice?

Yes. Unplugged the battery to try and reset it and it still didn't work.
