I have a 96 legacy 2.5l n/a. And when the engines cold it wont start. It will try to fire but no cigar. After a while of trying to start she will fire up and run like crap and die. Then she will start back up and run fine. Can anyone help me diagnose the problem plz. I have put new NGK plugs in and gapped about 3 or 4 months ago. Oh and it has 171xxx miles..

Check for any split or broken vacuum hoses. Also check all of the hoses that attach to the intake tube. If any are loose or split at the ends it will cause a lean fuel mixure and cause hard starting.
