new to the usmb & new to the soobie world

hello Subaru lovers. I recently discovered the Subaru love. I was looking for a fuel efficient vehicle to commute with and knew that Subaru's had a good reputation for running forever & getting great mpg. My first soobie was & is a 92 loyale (perfect for commuting). I recently added an 87 gl wagon to the arsenal to satisfy the mud lovin, four wheelin' demon that lurks within me. Now with two Subaru's I have a ton of questions on how to make them better. Being a life long VW & HD enthusiast I'm used to constantly working on and improving the performance of my machines. Now I find myself running into some snags that I can't figure out & have turned to this site for help.

Welcome steelheadkiller--you've come to a great place to get help.  Post your questions in the appropriate forum (Newer Gen for the '92, Old Gen for '87) and I'm sure folks will respond.

hey, thanks for the advise....will do. do you know of anyone who has successfully swapped the mpfi onto a carbureted car & harness? I know that the mechanic side as far as parts (intake, dizzy, etc.) are no prob; it's the wiring harness swap that's got me baffled. I know I can do it, just wanted to chat with some one that has actually attempted it. nice to meet you.
