2009 Subaru Legacy strange noise

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone might know what caused a strange noise my girlfriend and I heard coming from our 2009 Subaru Legacy today.

We were driving on the highway, about 55 to 60MPH. We heard what sounded like a car horn beeping. The sound was quick and happened twice at first, like someone had beeped at us twice. That is what we thought it was. A bit later on we heard the noise again and my girlfriend said she felt the car pull to the right a bit, this time the horn noise sounded 3 times in quick succession.  After that it did not happen again the whole way home, but traffic had slowed a bit. It was very windy and cold if that has anything to do with it. Please let me know what you guys think, any imput is appreciated.

Oh, I forgot to mention. The noise sounded like it was coming from the front passenger side... the wheel perhaps?

Probably just a cross wind blowing across some part of the car that isn't normally exposed to high winds when driving. Unless you hear it again at lower speeds or when it is not very windy out, don't worry about it too much.
