My steering wheel is busted. I'd like to replace it with an aftermarket one. The adaptor kits don't list a fitment for 78 subies. Does anyone have a cross reference that might get me there?

Bust out the hub of your old one, trim the metal bits off and then drill and tap holes to accommodate your aftermarket wheel.

That's probably my best bet in any case.

I use a steering wheel out of an 83 hatch in my 78 with no troubles, the only issue was some trimming was needed of plastic at the back so it didn't hit the column. Horn and everything works!

Commie, that's awesome. I can find adapters for '83!
