It broke at the weld on normal driving. I can re weld or does anyone recommend anything else?

 

 

It broke from the bad angle it was put at because of the lift and not being  modded to accommodate the difference in geometry.

Weld some reinforcedd channel section on the longer part mounted to the body and then replace the shorter part that goes through the rubbers with a Rod end and bolt the U bracket through the rod end with spacers allowing it torotate while still acting as a stopper.

 

That will never fail again if done properly and it's not that big of a fabrication job.
