Looking for lifting advice and how to get a little more power?

Hello, I'm new to the subie modification world. I just picked up a 1986 gl wagon off of craigslist. It has 197000 miles on it, pretty well maintained and runs well. It's a pig going up the hills around here and it doesn't help it's carbureted and I live close to 10,000ft is there any thing I can do to get a bit more power out of it or is the best option to just swap out the engine? I was also interested in lifting it 2 inches. Any direction and information would be awesome! Thanks all!

Best option for power is swap it to an EJ22. Lift kits Pm me I build. Also Facebook.com/adnfab
