Hi,

I have a 1990 Legacy 2WD wagon L.

It is my second Subaru, and I bought it new.

Original dealer dropped Subaru S&S, so I have been taking care of maintainence.

Welcome to USMB!  Wow--25 years, one owner--that's great!  Tell us about your car--mileage--pictures?

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Sorry, but there is no glamour here. As an engineer (electrical), when I needed a new car I researched what was available. As far as I could see, the Legacy was the best price/value choice. As I generally used public transportation, the car was used by wife and children. She took it to the dealer as required for all periodic maintenance. When the dealer abandoned us, I took over maintenance.

I tried various mechanics, but found they were reckless and destructive (e.g. cross-threaded sparkplug #1). There was a major bias against non-american cars. The car deserved better. So I have shepherded her into old age. The more I work on her, the more I tend to elevate her engineers into the status of saints (or whatever the japanese equivalent is).

Maybe more later.
