Found 2003 outback limited ed.280,000 mi.new heads alot of other work.body good.like 800 bucks.just thinking about the hi miles.etc..opinions

New tires.timing belt.pullies.ball joints.

If nothing else except the body is good, it's still worth $800. You can part out a clean car and make that back.

Definitely worth it, but here's your possible issues:

 

Struts

Wheel Bearings

Transmission (Make sure it engages immediately with no delay to reverse and drive)

Radiator

Misc. electronics

Axles

Differentials

 

One good drive though will tell you if any of these have problems.
