hello, I can not find where the end of the bypass hose connects? In review of some of the videos on youtube I do see some of them plugged but others going into a metal piping?  

 

any help out there?

It goes to the hearer core.

One metal pipe sticks out of the crossover pipe on top of the block. The hose runs to the heater core, second hose comes from the core back right next to the first and hooks to the bypass pipe. That runs straight across the top of the block then down the front next to the water pump.
