Can't Find Wire for the MAF sensor

Did a top-end rebuild / new head gaskets /timing belt, etc on a Legacy outback 1998 2.5 DOHC AT, (my first time), put the engine back in, but I cannot find the connecting wire for the MAF sensor! 

Does the wire originate from the main harness or a different place?

Is it possible it is folded under the intake manifold?   

 

Thanks for any hints!

It comes up from along the side of the passenger strut tower. Should be hanging somewhere right by there.
