Ea82 help. Motor overheated now ownt start

OK so brought it to the mechanic that built the motor and what happened was the camshaft bearing bolt backed out and went in the gear causing the failure. The mechanic said in 30 years of doing mainly Subaru's he has never seen that before so he gave me a new gear and belt and he's going to get it running and tuned up for 90 bucks so I'd say it was worth bringing it in.
