Hello to the group!

Featured Replies

Hi, my name is Mike, I just joined the group and in fact bought my first Subaru (2006 Outback, H4, manual) yesterday. I've liked them for years but It's the first one I've owned.

Very well taken care of by the previous owner with 85k miles.

I've known about the head gasket problem and though this one is not leaking now it's likely coming up. Sounds crazy but I almost (almost) look forward to pulling the engine and fixing same. I've pulled & rebuilt or overhauled many engines in the past. I Haven't had the need ion the past 10 or 15 years and sort of miss it.

Glad I found this group. No doubt there's a lot of great experience on this site!

Welcome! That's a pretty hot combo you scored and especially for you first Sube. Best of luck on your future engine repairs....??
