claro_que
hey guys, i just joined the forum. i have a 94 legacy wagon that is dying for high milage (250k). i would like to get a legacy turbo 2.2 sedan. i can get one cheap that has a bad auto tranny. my question is if a manual tranny for a legacy (normally aspirated) will fit onto the turbo motor? has anyone done this? my other question.... is there a search feature on this BB? i couldnt find one. thanks for your help in advance. sean roland
Legacy777
the gear ratios are (normally) different between the turbos & n/a. More info about a tranny swap can be found here. http://legacycentral.org/library/transmission/convert.htm
wrxsubaru
It would work but you would also need the rear diff with the NA trannie. The cable operated trannies are not as stropng as the hydralicly operated ones that are used on turbo legacys normaly.
