We just got a 2016 crossrek in december we love it.....but

I was thinking why cant I take a 2.5 ltr and the transmission from a forester and put it into the crosstrek?

With the more power and the adjustable range transmission then the 2 inch primitive lift to fit the bfg all terrains then id have something. Is it possible? Please no crazy sugesstions like sti motor or 2 litr turbo forester motor looking just for more grunt more offroad capability. My vehicle is a 2011 ranger 4x4 with 31x10.50 at tires I go through some srious stuff with that. Would like cheryls crosstrek to maybe almost keep up
