Hello all. I'm interested in putting a bed topper on my 78 brat, though I've got to say I'm not a fan of the fiberglass ones we see in the US. I just learned about the Ilfor Williams toppers sold in the UK and I think they look a lot more like what I'm after. They're a steel frame with an aluminum inner skin. A Brit on Facebook has offered to find me a nice one for free if I pay freight.

 

That leads me to a few questions of course.

 

Did these get to Canada by any chance?

 

Are toppers gen specific?

 

Any of you ship something if this size across the pond?

 

Anyone else want one?

I would like to see an image of one, I very well may be interested if it doesn't cost me both legs. Keep me updated. I also have a 78 and am looking into a few reproduction deals like the ones for the tailgate and bed area amoungst other.

From the first photos I saw I thought it was tube frame with canvas. I think that would be awesome. I'm cooling on this model, thinking about trying to build my own.
