air suction valve

Featured Replies

Hi-new to usmb, sorry to post old topic but can't find answer, and in a pinch...the air suction valve quarter delete? Nothing more than the blocking off? Disassemble both sides, seal with quarter, reassemble, nothing more? 1987 gl hatch 4wd 1.8 carbed 4speed needs to run 100 mile commute this Monday...thanks! If its more involved than that, I'll swap it.

I think I get what your asking so I think the answer is yes. If you have an ASV system exhaust leak or whatever, you could use a quarter or some means of blocking the ports on the manifold/adapters and reinstall, leaving the tubes and such inplace. Ide also recomend disabling the vaccum part of the system too. But why? Emissions testing?
