Getting Around the Fuel system Help?!?!

Featured Replies

Hello,

Id love to hear from anyone that has made an install of a 4 or 6 cylinder Subaru into a non OEM install.

The fuel system has quite the collection of items in it. The person I'm doing this for only wants to run a basic tank, and high flow pump. How does one bypass all of the other fuel tank stuff without issue?

The fuel pump relay is needed (No Problem)

A - fuel pump is needed            (No Problem)

Fuel temp sensor? a way to bypass this, or replace it? Im thinking of using a GM - 2 wire fuel temp sensor mounted into an aluminum block.

Fuel sub level (reserve sensor)   a way to bypass this, or replace it? Either do not use, or use a motorcycle reserve bathe sensor.

Atmospheric solenoid should be OK its in the engine bay (usually)

Pressure control solenoid????  Location?????   Replaceable??? on engine Im guessing

Fuel tank pressure sensor????  Location?????   Replaceable??? on engine Im guessing

Internal pressure solenoid????  Location?????   Replaceable??? on engine Im guessing

I'm going to be using s stock VW beetle fuel tank. So the idea is to use a 255lph fuel pump, and pressure regulator. Any thoughts / experience on this????

This H6 is going into a VW bug chassis or sand rail. So its bare bones.
