factory equipment with my 2013 Legacy, bought used last year, is an antenna for the factory satellite radio mounted on the windshield. The 2013 Subaru manual warns that if you are driving North near the coast it will not work well. The manual is correct in my experience. In fact, reception fails a lot, unlike my previous, older, cheaper car with a factory sharkfin (external) satellite antenna. Anyone else have this problem with their Subaru?
