My oil dipstick recently broke due to belts snapping off. It is my understanding that this part is discontinued. Just wondering if there is an aftermarket/compatible dipstick out there. Thanks for any help. 

Dorman makes a lot of that kind of parts.  I have bought a replacement for my Forester.  Does not fit exactly but this is better than nothing.  I had to make my own marks for "full" and "low" but it works.
