Two 1999 Limited Foresters to be parted out (repairable)

Recommended Posts

...hey, everyone...so my '99 Forester S Limited has suffered from a bad mechanic, and well. he smacked up the valves in cyl 1 n 3...the story so far is that she developed a misfire, I ran thru the ignition, found all healthy, and, due to dreadful weather, trusted Atwill Service here in Ottawa, to diagnose the faulty injectors that I assumed were the issue...left detailed instructions and descriptions of what I'd done...dumb kid-iot ignored all that, went about it his own way, assuming that 1 n 3 were on "the same side of the coil" clearly not understanding the difference between an inline and a boxer, and he went into the timing cases, clocked my cam and pranged my engine.

...unfortunately I've had no luck with the local courts, they don't seem to understand that a 'non-professional' can know his car, and that when a car is driven in and towed out, that that is indeed the exact opposite of how a shop visit should happen.

..and now it's winter, and I'm not into changing the engine in my driveway in the snow n crap...SO! my former driver, and my matching donor (engine removed and waiting to go into driver) are up for sale or to be parted out...

...so here we have a pair of medium-high mileage (260's) Silver Forester S Limiteds, one with leather seats n nav module n all the bells n whistles, and one with all the bells n whistles also present, except for fabric seats and no nav,...several sets of mounted rubber, summers and winters, alloys n steelies all in good order (well, one summer tire has a slow leak)...a buncha spares also, including AC, stereos, sensors, lights for all positions, you name it...I'll work on some pix soon...only significant rust on the former daily driver is the doglegs...similar rust on the donor, and donors' drivers' door handle has failed...all else in good order...

...so, for fans of the Gen 1 Forester, here is a repairable 1999 Limited with engine waiting to go in, and a pretty decent donor car...

...looking forward to hearing from you!
