so...my tranny is un happy, free revs when in fwd...

Featured Replies

so heres the deal, this all on my 89 gl turbo, 4speed(4Eat) car runs like it should in normal Awd mode, mostly, feels abnormaly squirly, back ends coming out on me lately.

i hit my fwd switch and pull it into 1st hold, runs through first, flip out of first and it stays in first, even though i'm in second. Flip into third and i lose all drive capabillity, as in i free rev, no power, no drive, rather odd.

so its either that i have no contact in 2nd from the tranny in fwd only, or that i have contact, but the 2nd gear clutches havn't engaged...well, this makes sense in my head, probably not here though:rolleyes:

so why is it that i have no 2nd or third gear when i'm in front wheel drive?

the squirliness i would think to be from the duty selnoid running at 100% and giving me the 4wd charachteristincs, 50 50, instead of running in Awd like i'm used to which is what? 90-10 till i slip up front?

well, any input or opinions would be great

Thanks,

Dan
