towing a brat

Featured Replies

Greetings,

Let me first say I'm a former Subaru driver/owner. A 1975 4WD Wagon and a 1980 4WD wagon, both were awesome and because of my experience, I keep a soft spot in my heart for Subaru's.

My question is this, I'm looking at buying a 1985 Brat and I'm going to add mods to make it into a hunting/ranch vehicle. In replacing the front bumper with something more heavy duty, I'm going to install brackets and a tow bar.

It's a stick, so does anyone have any input/experience with towing a Brat with all 4 wheels on the ground? Any input on this will be much appreciated.

I currently have a '88 Samurai that I tow around with no problems. I want to make sure I can do the same with the Brat as it will be a requirement.

Have fun,

Necro

i assume you know how to use the towbar, wheel unlocked, etc

tow the brat in neutral, in 2wd all four wheels on the ground. as long as its not in 4wd, or not in gear, you will be ok
