briantroutman
Hi Everyone! I have a 1990 Legacy LS wagon which I absolutely love. Fairly soon, I'm going to have some major body work done on it (I sideswiped a guard rail on I-78 last fall), and the whole car will be repainted. Anyway, I'm considering some interior upgrades (perhaps entirely replacing the somewhat unattractive dark blue seats, carpet, dash, etc.). I'm also thinking about replacing the audio system. Currently, I have the stock Panasonic unit with the Aux jack as well as a Subaru accessory CD player out of an Impreza or Forester. The accessory CD player works, but it doesn't light up at night (the 4-pin plug that it misses, I guess) and doesn't quite look right with the radio. I would like to replace the two with a single unit out of a later model (maybe one of the 6-CD units). From what I've read, Subaru audio wiring fits into two categories: 90-92 and 93-present. Is any adapter available to use the later stereos with the 90-92 cars? Can I adapt it any other way? By the way, does anyone know what I could reasonably expect to pay for good used LS or LSi interior (seats, carpet, trim, etc.)? Thanks in advance! Legacy777
The 90-94 stereo's are the same to my knowledge.
