Speed Dips with Cruise On

Featured Replies

I just got my first Subie, an 04 OutBack. So far the car is fine. I am wondering about the cruise control. I set the cruise on 70. It stays solid on 70. If I accelerate to 75 and ease off the gas, speed drops to 66-67 and then eases back up to 70, where it holds 70 solid again. I haven't experienced this in other cars I've owned and wonder if this is normal in the OutBAck?

Hold your foot steady on the pedal until the cruise pulls the pedal away from your foot.

I will be on the highway doing about 80 and passing everyone but when I am doing 80 with the cruise control on it seems that everyone passes me. It actually feels like my car is going 70 but still says 80...what gives?

What gives is that Subaru's cruise control system sucks donkey butt.

Believe it or not, I am so fed up with the issue that I have decided to sell my Forester this summer.
